Personal Training Services

Learning

Equipment Orientation

Personal trainers will educate and help you get acquainted with the most

popular strength, cardio, and flexibility equipment that the ARC and CRCE

offer.

  • Cost: $20 for students, $25 for members
  • Duration: 30 minutes to 1 hour

Consultation

This session allows you to discuss your current fitness regimen with a

personal trainer and answer any questions you may have about personal

training offerings.

  • Cost: $30 for students, $45 for members
  • Duration: 30 minutes to 1 hour

Assessment

General Health

The General Health assessment provides a comprehensive overview of your health and well-being.

This assessment includes:

  • Blood pressure
  • Heart rate
  • Height
  • Weight
  • Waist-to-hip ratio
  • In-Body Scan (for measuring body composition)
  • Cost: $30 for students, $45 for members
  • Duration: 30 minutes to 1 hour

Fitness & Performance

The Fitness and Performance assessment allows you to measure your current cardiovascular and muscular strength, flexibility, and overall movement quality.

This assessment includes:

  • Submaximal cardiovascular test
  • Strength/endurance test
  • Flexibility test
  • Functional Movement Screening
  • Cost: $30 for students, $45 for members
  • Duration: 1 hour

FAQ

How do I schedule an appointment for a personal training service?

First, you must fill out the Personal Training Intake Form. When a trainer becomes available, personaltraining@illinois.edu will reach out to you to schedule your appointment.

How do I purchase a personal training service?

You will purchase your selected personal training service(s) at the beginning of your appointment with a personal trainer. Prices for each service are listed above.

Where do I meet with my trainer when I have my appointment?

Your trainer will meet you by the member services desk (to the left when you walk through the turnstiles). After purchasing your service(s), your trainer will then guide you to the appropriate training space.

How should I prepare? What should I bring?

It is recommended that you wear athletic clothing, bring a water bottle if needed, and eat/drink as you normally would prior to coming in.

How long does it take to be paired with a trainer?

Pairing times depend on trainer availability. We cannot offer an exact estimate on the wait time, but we make every effort to pair trainers and clients as quickly as possible.
