Ice Skating

• Check the Ice Arena Calendar below for public skating dates and times.
• Public Skate, Lunch Skate, and Extended Lunch Skate are open to students, faculty/staff, and the public
• Cheap Skate is on the FIRST Wednesday evening Public Skate of every month. This is when admission is $2.00 and skate rental is $1.00 for everyone!
• No Friday night Public Skates will be held if there is a home Illini Hockey home game.
• We have themed skates around the holidays! check our calendar for when those are happening.

Group Rates and Passes

Birthday Parties are different than Group Rates. Please refer to our Party Packages page.

Rates for groups starting at parties of 8 or more including skate rental:

• Small Groups (8-20): $6 each
  Can be purchased in advance or at the door.
• Large Groups (21 or more): $5 each
  A $50 deposit is required 24 hours in advance.

Group reservations should be made at least 2 weeks in advance of the requested date. Ice time will not be guaranteed to requests submitted without 2 weeks' notice. Review the Ice Arena Calendar and choose a scheduled Public Skate time for your group reservation.

As of Fall 2024, we will no longer be selling public skate punch cards. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to the Ice Arena email.

Family Passes

Family Passes are good for up to 4 family members.

How do I purchase this? 
At our front cash window (by the entrance) during public skates.

How much is it?
$30 including skate rental.

What if we have more than 4 family members?
It is $5 per additional family member.

Ice Skates

Skate rental is $3 for all patrons.

Skate Sharpening

• Check the online calendar for drop-in hockey opportunities and freestyle (figure skating) sessions.
