Hockey Programs

Full equipment is strongly recommended for all hockey programs.
Helmet with full cage/shield and hockey skates are required.

Adult Rat Hockey

Times vary. Check online calendar.

  • members: $6
  • non-members: $9
  • goalies - FREE

Drop-in. Must be 18 or older.

Limited to 28 skaters and 4 goalies.

Additional dates/times will be added online calendar and sent to the listserv.

Stick and Puck Beginner Hockey

Times vary. Check online calendar.

  • members: $6
  • non-members: $9
  • OR $15 parent and child ($10 members)

Families welcome. See monthly calendar for exceptions. This is non-contact, informal hockey.

Minor Hawks

Minor Hawks is a learn-to-play hockey program sponsored by the Chicago Blackhawks. Offered through the CU Youth Hockey Association, this program is for children ages 5-8 years old who have minimal skating/hockey experience. Each session is 8-weeks with one practice per week. Senior Rec Hockey League

Registration coming in September.

Season begins September 27.

Games are planed on Sunday nights. Must be a graduate student, faculty/staff, or public at least 21 years old.

$100/Illinois grad students and Campus Rec members

$125/non-members

This is non-check recreational hockey for UI Students, Campus Rec members and public at least 18 years old. Full equipment expected and highly recommended. A helmet with full face protection required.
