Adult Lessons

Beginning I

Little to no experience in the water. Focus is on developing comfort in the water along with basic swimming safety skills. The goal is to be able to swim one pool length and gain comfort in deep water.

Beginning II

Should be able to swim 25 yards (one pool length) continuously on front or back and demonstrate comfort either floating or treading in deep water. Focus is on proficiency in basic strokes and endurance building.

Intermediate

Should be able to swim 50 yards (2 pool lengths) continuously using front crawl or back crawl. The goal of this class is to continue to build proficiency in all stroke technique, increase endurance, and learn to use swimming for fitness.

Swim Conditioning For Adults

This class is designed to use swimming skills for endurance exercise. Focus will be on starts, turns, workout sets, and stroke refinement. Ability to swim 100 yds continuously using freestyle or backstroke recommended.
